P Padmakumar is a seasoned Human Resources Management professional who was appointed as an Independent Director at S&S Power Switchgear Limited in January 2025. With a distinguished career focused on developing benchmark people practices and sound HR strategies, he has established himself as a thought leader in Human Resources, Skills Development, and Labour Policy.

Mr. Padmakumar actively contributes to industry advancement through his participation in National, Regional, and State level Industry Forums, as well as through his representation in various Government bodies. His professional journey includes significant roles at prominent organizations such as Saint-Gobain India, EID Parry (I) Ltd, Indian Aluminium Company (INDAL), and Murugappa Group companies including Carborundum Universal Ltd and Parrys Confectionery Ltd. Academically, he holds a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.

His expertise has been recognized with several prestigious appointments and honors, including the Best CHRO Award 2024 from FICCI (TN), membership on the Board of Governors for BOAT South Region under MHRD Delhi, and representing Indian employers at international forums including the Indo-European Union Skills in Brussels.
